Four questions, one monthly price

Start from a typical business

01How many people use IT?Count everyone with a computer or a Microsoft 365 account, including part time staff.
people
02How much do you want us to handle?Pick the plan closest to what you need. Every plan can change as you grow.

Compare every inclusion on the IT support plans page. Plans start at 10 people, Partner at 20.

03What level of security?Every managed device runs our 24/7 endpoint protection as a minimum. SecureShield adds identity protection, training and controls for every person.

See what each level includes on the SecureShield page.

04Servers, sites and backupServers we would look after, offices we support after the first, and whether to back up Microsoft 365.

Most businesses on Microsoft 365 and cloud apps have none. Not sure? Leave it at 0 and we will check in the audit.

This is an estimate, not a quote. Your fixed price comes after a short scoping call. Endpoint protection is priced per device and shown per person here; the quote counts your devices. Hiring figures are base salary plus 12% super from the Robert Half Salary Guide 2026 for Perth, assuming one help desk person per 70 people and a systems administrator per 150 people once you pass 50.

What moves the price of managed IT

Six things decide what you pay. The calculator covers the first four, and a short scoping call settles the other two.

    In the calculator

    1. 01

      People

Most of the price is per person, so it grows with your team and drops when people leave. Plans start at 10 people, and Partner at 20, because every plan includes fixed work such as monitoring, patching and reviews.

    2. 02

      How much we handle

Monitoring is for businesses with their own IT person. Essentials is a service desk with a set number of hours. Managed is unlimited remote support and one team that owns all of your IT. Partner adds extended hours, 24/7 critical cover, onsite time and a roadmap with a budget.

    3. 03

      Security level

Every managed device runs 24/7 endpoint protection at $6 a device as a minimum. SecureShield Core, at $25 a person, adds identity protection, training and vulnerability scanning. Control adds the controls and evidence insurers ask for. Command adds a security lead.

    4. 04

      Servers, sites and backup

Each server we look after is $150 a month, each site after the first is $95, and Microsoft 365 backup is $5 a person.

    On the scoping call

    • Where you start from

There is no onboarding fee for new managed clients. If something needs work first, such as unsupported devices or missing licences, it is quoted as a fixed price project in your proposal, so you see it before you decide.

    • What is not in the price

Licences are billed at the published price on the same invoice. Projects such as a new office or a migration are quoted as a fixed price. Extra hours beyond your pool are billed in 15 minute blocks.

How much do managed IT services cost?

Managed IT is priced per user per month. Austin Essentials, a service desk with a set number of hours, is $45 a user. Austin Managed, with unlimited remote support, is $95. Austin Partner, an IT department with extended hours and onsite time, is $160. Austin Monitoring, for businesses with their own IT person, is $20. All prices exclude GST.

Security is added per user, servers and extra sites are set monthly amounts, and the fixed price comes after a short scoping call.

What happens if we use more than the included hours?

On Monitoring and Essentials the hours are pooled across your team each month, so a quiet month for one person covers a busy one for another. If you go over, the extra time is billed in 15 minute blocks at our standard rate, and if it happens three months in a row we will recommend Managed, which is usually cheaper at that point.

    What does unlimited mean?

Unlimited remote support for the people and devices we cover, under fair use. Projects such as a new office, a migration or a rollout are quoted as a fixed price, so the monthly bill does not move when we do project work for you.

    Do you offer 24/7 support?

Monitoring runs 24/7 on every plan. Live support is business hours on Monitoring and Essentials. Managed clients can reach our on call engineer for a critical incident at any hour and pay per incident. Partner includes that cover, and the service desk runs 7am to 7pm on weekdays.

Why is there a minimum number of people?

Every plan includes fixed work such as monitoring, patching, documentation and reviews, and Partner includes onsite time and a weekly huddle. Plans start at 10 people, and Partner at 20, so that work is properly covered. Under 10 people we quote a fixed monthly minimum on the same inclusions.

Are Microsoft 365 licences included in the price?

No. Licences are billed at the published price on the same invoice, so you can see exactly what you pay. From Essentials up we buy, assign and reclaim them for you and true up every month, and on Managed and Partner we review for licences you no longer need.

Is outsourcing cheaper than employing an IT person?

A help desk support role pays $76,300 to $92,650 a year before super, according to the Robert Half Salary Guide 2026 for Perth, and one person cannot cover leave, after hours or every specialist skill. The calculator shows the comparison for your headcount. Many businesses keep their IT person and add Monitoring alongside them.

Do you charge to set us up?

No. There is no onboarding fee for new managed clients, and Proven in 90 gives you 90 days to decide if we are right for you. If something needs work first, such as unsupported devices, it is quoted as a fixed price project in your proposal, so you see it before you decide.

    Rather talk it
    through first?

Call us or send the details. A technical consultant will talk it through and send a fixed monthly price in writing.
