01Where it goes wrong

Where IT buying goes wrong

Most businesses do not have a procurement problem until they add up what they spent, what they still pay for and what is sitting in a drawer.

  1. Laptops bought on a credit card

Whatever was in stock that week, on a consumer warranty and with no link to your management tools.

FixAn approved model list for each role, bought on business warranties and registered to your business when we order it.

  2. Licences for people who left

Microsoft 365 and other subscriptions keep billing for leavers and for plans nobody uses.

FixA licence review against your staff list, with unused seats removed at the right point in the term.

  3. Renewals roll over without a decision

Annual subscriptions renew automatically, sometimes at a new price, because nobody had the date in their calendar.

FixEvery renewal date tracked, with a recommendation from us before it falls due.

  4. Old laptops still hold company data

Retired devices sit in a cupboard with client files and saved passwords still on them.

FixDevices wiped, removed from your management tools and recorded as retired before they leave your hands.

02What we source

03Microsoft licensing

Microsoft licences, bought on the right terms

Microsoft sells many business subscriptions on monthly, annual or three year terms, and a new subscription can only be cancelled in the first seven days of its term. The term you choose matters.

  1. 01
Match the term to the role

Stable roles can suit longer terms. Contractors, seasonal staff and short projects usually suit monthly terms.

  2. 02
    Check orders inside seven days

Mistakes are easiest to fix while the cancellation window is open, so we check every new order against your staff list straight away.

  3. 03
    Line up renewal dates

Subscriptions bought at different times renew at different times. We track every date and bring the decision to you before it falls due.

  4. 04
    Plan for price changes

Microsoft raised prices for several Microsoft 365 plans from 1 July 2026, including Business Basic and Business Standard, while Business Premium stayed the same. Existing customers keep their current price until renewal.

04How it works

From quote to retirement

Buying is only the start. We look after each device and licence for as long as you have it.

  1. Step 1

    Standardise

We agree an approved list of models and licence plans for each role, so every purchase fits your build, security settings and budget.

  2. Step 2

    Quote and order

Each order gets a fixed quote showing the model, warranty and lead time. Once you approve it, we place the order.

  3. Step 3

    Prepare and deploy

Windows devices are registered for Autopilot and asset tagged, so the user signs in and the device sets itself up with your apps and settings.

  4. Step 4

    Track and retire

Asset and warranty tracking is included in every support plan. At end of life, devices are wiped, removed from management and recorded as retired.

08Questions

IT procurement questions

What clients ask about buying hardware and licences through us. Anything else, call 1300 787 429.

01

Can we buy through you without a managed IT plan?

Most clients buy through us as part of a managed IT plan, because we then set up and support what we supply. If you only need a one off order or a licence review, talk to us and we will tell you what we can do.

02

Are your prices competitive with buying direct or online?

We quote business pricing from our distributors and vendors, and every quote shows the model, warranty and lead time so you can compare like for like. A retail price rarely includes a business warranty, setup or the time your team spends building the device.

03

Should we choose monthly or annual Microsoft 365 licences?

Microsoft offers many business subscriptions on monthly, annual or three year terms, and a new subscription can only be cancelled in the first seven days. Longer terms tend to suit stable roles, while monthly terms suit contractors, seasonal staff and projects. We recommend a mix after the licence review.

04

How will Microsoft's July 2026 price changes affect us?

Microsoft raised prices for several Microsoft 365 plans from 1 July 2026, including Business Basic and Business Standard, while Business Premium stayed the same. Existing customers keep their current price until renewal, so the change reaches you at your next renewal date. The licence review shows which subscriptions are affected and when they renew.

05

How long until new laptops are ready for staff?

It depends on the model and stock, and every quote shows the lead time. When a device arrives it is already registered to your business, so the user signs in and it sets itself up with your apps and settings.

06

Our IT person already buys our gear. How do you help?

We give them an approved model list, business pricing and one place to order, and we handle setup, asset records and warranty tracking. They keep control of what gets bought without spending their week on quotes and couriers.
