An engineering and mining business with more than 100 users in Perth and Port Hedland needed infrastructure that could scale. We moved its systems to a hyper converged platform at NEXTDC P2, upgraded connectivity with Vocus and work alongside its IT team in Germany.

Where Koch Solutions started
Koch Solutions works across Perth and Port Hedland, moving large volumes of engineering data between sites, with an internal IT team based in Germany.
Infrastructure that could not scale
The existing setup lacked the resilience and headroom for Koch's growth plans.

Koch's internal IT team is in Germany, so the Australian systems had to fit its global requirements.

A platform, a network and one partner
We rebuilt the foundations first, then made sure the sites, the global team and the hardware supply all worked together.

Hyper converged platform at NEXTDC P2
Systems migrated to a hyper converged platform built on Storage Spaces Direct, with room to grow and redundancy built in.

Vocus fibre connectivity
Metro Ethernet and dark fibre services with Vocus to improve performance and reliability between sites.

Working with the German IT team
Regular engagement to align global IT requirements with the needs of the Australian sites.

Hardware procurement
As Koch's primary hardware provider, we coordinate with internal teams to deliver equipment quickly.

Day to day support for users across both sites.
