01Who it suits

Small business IT support for the way you work now

Most of the small businesses we look after came to us from one of these four places. If one sounds familiar, you are the kind of business we built our small business plans for.

  1. Nobody owns IT

Things get fixed when they break, by whoever is free. Nobody checks the backups, the updates or who still has access.

FixOne team owns it, with monitoring, patching and backups done on a schedule, not when someone remembers.

  2. The office manager is the IT person

The person who runs the office is also resetting passwords, chasing the internet provider and setting up laptops, on top of their real job.

FixStaff call our service desk instead, and your office manager gets their week back.

  3. One IT person, no cover

You rely on one person or a friend of the business. When they are on leave, sick or busy, problems wait.

FixA whole team that knows your setup, with documentation that does not live in one person's head.

  4. Growing faster than your setup

New starters, a second site or a client asking about your security, and the setup that worked at ten people is starting to creak.

FixA plan for the next stage, with new staff set up properly on day one and security that stands up to questions.

05Cyber security

Security sized for a small business

Attackers do not skip small businesses. They often prefer them, because the defences are thinner and one convincing email can be enough.

/01

$56,600 average cost

The average self reported cost of a cybercrime to an Australian small business in 2024 to 2025, up 14% on the year before. For medium businesses it was $97,200. Source: ASD Annual Cyber Threat Report 2024 to 2025.

/02

Email is the way in

Email compromise and business email compromise fraud were two of the three most common cybercrimes businesses reported to ASD that year. Fake invoices and changed bank details are the classic small business loss.

/03

24/7 monitoring and response

Our SecureShield plans add a security operations centre that watches your devices and Microsoft 365 around the clock, from $25 per user per month excluding GST.

08Questions

Small business IT support questions

What owners and office managers ask before they choose an IT provider. Anything else, call 1300 787 429.

01

How much does IT support cost for a small business?

Our plans are priced per user per month, so the cost follows the size of your team. The instant price calculator gives you a price for your business in about two minutes, and you do not need to give us an email address to see it.

Security, Microsoft 365 backup, managed servers, extra sites and extended hours are optional extras you can add when you need them.

02

What is included in small business IT support?

Help desk support for your staff, monitoring and patching of your devices, Microsoft 365 administration, backups and the security basics. Austin Monitoring includes 1 hour of pooled remote support for every 10 people a month and Austin Essentials 1 hour for every 5. Austin Managed and Austin Partner include unlimited remote support, VIP support and vendor liaison.

03

How quickly will you respond?

Calls are answered by an engineer in about 25 seconds on average. Every ticket is triaged within 15 minutes. Critical problems have a 30 minute response and a 4 hour resolution target, and most everyday issues are fixed remotely the same business day.

04

What hours do you cover?

Standard cover is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm AWST. Extended hours can be added on Austin Managed and are included on Austin Partner, with 24/7 on call for critical incidents on both. Our SecureShield security levels include 24/7 monitoring and response.

05

Where are your engineers based?

Every engineer is based in Australia and works from or with our office at Level 2, 541 Hay Street, Subiaco. We come on site across the Perth metro area and support regional WA offices remotely, with visits when they are needed.

06

Are we too small to work with you?

We work with businesses of 10 to 500 staff. The plans with a set number of support hours suit smaller teams with steady needs, and you can move to an unlimited plan as you grow.

07

Is an IT provider better than hiring one IT person?

For most teams under 50 staff, yes. One person cannot cover every skill, take leave without leaving you exposed or watch your systems at night. A provider gives you a whole team, documented processes and security tools a single hire could not justify. If you already have an IT person, see co-managed IT.

08

How do we get started?

Book a free IT audit. We review your devices, security, backups and support history, then show you what we would change, which plan fits and what it would cost. If you would rather see a price first, use the instant calculator.
