Email security
Email security services that stop phishing and invoice fraud
Most attacks on small and medium businesses start in the inbox: a fake invoice, a login page that looks like Microsoft, or a supplier whose mailbox has been taken over. We filter every message, lock down Microsoft 365 and train your staff, then watch for anything that still gets through.
Your price in two minutes, no email needed. Or call 1300 787 429.

01How attacks get in
Four ways email turns into a loss
Each one looks ordinary to the person who opens it. That is why filtering alone is not enough, and why the settings and the training matter as much.
- 01
A fake invoice or new bank details
An email that looks like a regular supplier asks you to pay a new account. Sometimes it really is from the supplier, because their mailbox has been taken over.
FixLookalike domains and first time senders are flagged, and your accounts team confirms any bank change by phone.
- 02
A login page that looks like Microsoft
A link to a shared document asks for a password. Modern kits capture the sign in code as well, so multi factor authentication on its own does not always stop them.
FixLinks are checked when they are clicked, and a stolen session is caught and cut off quickly.
- 03
A mailbox taken over quietly
The attacker reads mail for weeks, sets a rule that hides replies and waits for the right invoice to change.
FixWe watch for new forwarding rules, impossible travel and unusual sign ins, day and night.
- 04
An attachment that runs something
A macro, a disguised file or a link to a download that installs ransomware.
FixAttachments are opened in a sandbox first, and every device runs endpoint protection with a 24/7 security team behind it.
Not sure which of these you are exposed to? A technical consultant can check your Microsoft 365 settings with you.
Microsoft 365 security and management02What is included
Protection before, during and after delivery
We run it, tune it and report on it. Your staff see less junk and fewer fakes, and you see what was stopped each month.
Filtering before the inbox
Spam, malware and phishing are stopped before delivery, with a quarantine your staff can check.
Checks after delivery
Mail already in the inbox is scanned again, and messages found to be malicious later are pulled back from every mailbox.
Links and attachments
Links are checked at the moment they are clicked and attachments are opened in a sandbox before anyone sees them.
Impersonation and invoice fraud
Lookalike domains, spoofed display names and first time senders asking for money are flagged to the reader.
Your domain protected
SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up and monitored, so no one can send email that appears to come from you.
Microsoft 365 locked down
Multi factor authentication, conditional access, no auto forwarding outside the business and the security baselines insurers ask about.

03When something gets through
What happens in the first hour
No filter catches everything. What matters is how fast a stolen login or a bad message is found and dealt with.
- Detect
We spot it
A new forwarding rule, a sign in from overseas or a message reported by a staff member raises an alert with our team.
- Contain
We lock it down
The account is locked, sessions are revoked, the password is reset and any rules the attacker set are removed.
- Clean up
We remove it everywhere
The message is found and pulled from every mailbox that received it, and we check who clicked.
- Report
We tell you what happened
A plain English summary of what happened, who was affected, what we changed and anything you need to report.

06Questions
Email security questions
What businesses ask us about email security. Anything else, call 1300 787 429.
01What is business email compromise?
An attacker gets into a real mailbox, or sets up an address that looks like one, and uses it to ask for a payment or a change of bank details. Because the email comes from a name the reader knows, it gets past people who would never click a dodgy link. It is one of the most expensive kinds of attack for small and medium businesses.
02Is the filtering built into Microsoft 365 enough?
It stops a lot of spam and known malware. It misses more of the targeted phishing and impersonation that costs businesses money, and the default settings leave gaps such as auto forwarding to outside addresses. We add a second layer of filtering, change the settings that matter and watch sign ins around the clock.
03Can you stop invoice fraud completely?
No one can promise that, because the last step is a person approving a payment. We cut the risk a long way: lookalike domains and first time senders are flagged, mailbox takeovers are caught early and your staff learn what a fake invoice looks like. We also recommend a simple rule for your accounts team: any change of bank details is confirmed by phone, on a number you already hold.
04Do we need SPF, DKIM and DMARC?
Yes. They tell other mail servers which senders are allowed to use your domain, so attackers cannot send email that appears to come from you. Google, Microsoft and Yahoo now expect them for bulk mail, and many insurers ask about them. We set them up, move DMARC to enforcement in stages and watch the reports for anyone sending as you.
05Will it slow our email down?
Clean email arrives as normal. Messages with attachments or links that need a closer look can take a little longer, usually a matter of seconds, and anything held back goes to a quarantine your staff can see.
06What does email security cost?
Email filtering is part of SecureShield Control, $60 per person per month excluding GST, together with endpoint protection with a 24/7 security team, Microsoft 365 security baselines, application control and monthly security reporting. Security awareness training and identity monitoring start in SecureShield Core at $25. See your price in two minutes.
